Mindset research is about way more than 'fixed and growth mindsets'. So, what else does it contain, and what's the value of this for us as educators, parents, students, people who want to change and improve our lives?
I recorded a video explaining the elements of mindset research, and then discuss why and how this impacts the development of 'new skills'.
Take a look, I think you'll find it fascinating.
The context of this video is around students working towards professional qualifications, so does this only apply to them?
No. The world we know has changed, and is constantly changing. We need new skills, new processes and need to be aware of constant adaptations we need to make in order to stay relevant, build our careers and lives and find our paths. The 'skills' we need to adapt may look different to the skills of someone on a professional qualification path, but the concept of 'new skills' remains the same.
